The first 72 hours decide everything
Most disasters cut power, water and roads for about three days before help arrives. That window is exactly what this bag is built to carry you through.
No assembly. No guesswork.
It arrives packed and sealed. Nothing to source, nothing to research, nothing to forget at 2 a.m. with a wildfire on the ridge.
Tested, not theoretical
Every item earned its place because it works in a real emergency — chosen by people who actually prep, not picked off a spec sheet.
Bug Out Bag Basics
What exactly is a bug out bag?
Also called a go bag, 72-hour kit, get-home bag or SHTF bag, a bug out bag is a single pre-packed bag you grab on the way out the door when staying put isn't an option — wildfire, flood, hurricane or an evacuation order. It holds the food, water, shelter, first aid, fire and tools you need to be self-sufficient for roughly 72 hours.
Why 72 hours?
Three days is the widely used planning window for emergency response. It's how long it typically takes for power, water and road access to be restored, or for you to reach somewhere safe. Everything in this kit is sized to that window.
Which loadout should I pick?
Start with the Deluxe if you're building your first kit — it includes food and covers every category. Choose Elite for the most complete build with an IFAK-level trauma kit. Pick a "without food" variant only if you already rotate your own food stores.
Do I need one if I don't live in a disaster zone?
Power outages, water main breaks, chemical spills and evacuations happen everywhere. The bag also doubles as a get-home bag and a ready-made kit for camping or road trips. The cost of having one and not needing it is far lower than the reverse.
How fast does it ship?
Every U.S. order ships free within 48 hours and typically arrives in 2–4 days. It comes sealed and ready — put it by the door and forget about it until you need it.
