About Us
A few years back, you'd find me knee-deep in typical suburban dad stuff, chasing around my two awesome daughters, coaching their soccer teams and trying to claw my way to middle management. But then, one day I was handed the book "One Second After", by a friend and coworker.
There's a handful of books that have changed the way I look at the world and this one instantly shot straight to the top of the list. It was a wake-up call as to how quickly society would deteriorate in the event of massive power loss! I had this "whoa" moment, realizing I was pretty much a sitting duck if any real disaster hit.
So, what did I do? I dived right into prepping. I starting with buying a 200 serving bucket of freeze-dried food, and soon after, buying my first gun.
That Glock is still my favorite gun.
Beyond the prepping, I’ve always loved camping. I love the planning and prepping for camp as much as I enjoy being up in the mountains with my buddies, a few beers and a blazing fire. Every hiking or backpacking trip is like a mini survival lesson for me. Over time, I've gotten more organized, bought more gear and upgraded my skills.
Lately, I've really enjoyed learning more about knives, axes and other tools. So, you might see the site leaning towards these products right now.
That's why I started Tactically Prepped.
I'm on a mission to drag as many of you into this prepping world as I can. If you are already a prepper...Great! Let's learn and improve together. Here, you’ll find solid gear, tips, and maybe a few jokes as you gear up for whatever comes our way.
So, if you’re ready to dive into this wild world of prepping with a side of outdoor adventure, you're in the right place. Let's go!
